KNYSNA NEWS – The Pledge Nature Reserve Trust is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from SC Johnson to help support the much-loved "green heart" of Knysna.
"This grant from SC Johnson will be used to help fulfil our mandate of managing this ten hectare declared nature reserve for the benefit of all residents and visitors," said Pledge Nature Reserve's Nanna Joubert.
"We are excited that we will now be able to develop and facilitate the use of the reserve as an educational tool for learners and students. Our efforts will also focus on the reserve's biodiversity, the ecosystem services it performs, as well as the psychological and health benefits it provides to the community."
By promoting the many positive, interesting, and unique aspects of the reserve to tourists and visitors to the Garden Route, the reserve hopes to increase its visitor numbers and raise further funds to help sustain operations.
