KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Municipality are resurfacing some of the main arterials of the town as part of their season readiness programmes. Acting Municipal Manager Dr Louis Scheepers asked for the public’s patience while the works are underway.
“These roads must be attended to and, when completed, will be to the benefit of all who use them,” he said. “Please follow the directions of flagmen and signboards along the affected routes.”
Work began on 19 November and is scheduled to be completed within the first week of December, weather permitting. The roads being worked on are Union Street, Auction Mart Street, Main Road and Waterfront Drive. Work includes repair of the base layers and resurfacing of the roads.
“The result of this short period of inconvenience will be safer, smoother roads for all users to enjoy,” said Dr Scheepers. “Please bear with our workers, have patience, and drive safely.”
