KNYSNA NEWS - A man, believed to be 42 years old, only sustained moderate injuries after falling down an embankment in the Elandskraal area in Karatara close to Knysna yesterday afternoon, September 26.
When ER24 arrived on the scene just after 14:00, the man was found lying at the bottom of an embankment.
It is believed that the man fell approximately 200 meters.
Upon further assessment, it was found that the man suffered injuries to his leg.
The man was stabilised on the ground before being hoisted into the Skymed Emergency Helicopter that was activated to airlift the man to hospital. He was taken to Mediclinic George for further medical care.
The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known to ER24 paramedics. More information to follow when it becomes available.
