PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS – In an attempt to attract youngsters to their local library and to keep them off the streets, the Kwanokuthula Library is now offering its young visitors more than just a reading experience.
The Bitou communications team said that the municipality's library services department has recently converted one of the library's rooms into a recreational area.
"This is to encourage young people to make use of the library and to keep them from the streets," the team said. Some of the games that will be introduced include chess, checkers, and darts.
The only prerequisite for using the new recreational room is that visitors have to be members of the library to participate in the activities offered.
For more information, interested parties can contact the Kwanokuthula Library on Xhiphula Street in Kwanokuthula or speak to the library staff on 044 5013 127.
