PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Bitou's top brass visited Kurland on the outskirts of Plettenberg Bay last week in response to service delivery concerns voiced by the community.
Bitou Mayor Dave Swart joined a walkabout to assess the problem areas together with Deputy Mayor Mavis Busakwe, in her capacity as the portfolio committee chair for engineering and community services, and Ward 1 Councillor Jessica Kamkam.
The state of ablution facilities in the informal settlement of Zawa Zawa and other parts of Kurland was identified as needing immediate attention. Some members of the community assisted by pointing out areas of concern.
Swart and the delegation committed themselves to take up these issues with the relevant departments for immediate intervention.
