KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Municipality has appointed Manqoba Ngubo as its new Acting Municipal Manager.
Ngubo brings extensive experience in local government administration, having served in both municipal manager and chief financial officer roles.
His background includes strategic planning, operational management and strengthening municipal financial systems, with a focus on practical implementation and improved service delivery.
He has also spent more than 11 years in leadership positions across the private sector and state-owned entities, building experience in financial services, financial recovery and organisational performance improvement.
Mayor Thando Matika welcomed the appointment, describing Ngubo as a young and energetic leader with a strong understanding of local government.
“Mr Ngubo has done excellent work during his tenure at Bitou Municipality and is well acquainted with the challenges facing local municipalities, including Knysna. Council looks forward to working with him as he steps in to lead the administration,” said Matika.
Ngubo said he was looking forward to serving the greater Knysna community and working with stakeholders to strengthen service delivery.
“I welcome the opportunity to serve the community of greater Knysna. I am eager to work with all stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and implement council resolutions as we build an inclusive, innovative and inspired Knysna together,” he said.
