PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A secure complex in Keurboomsstrand in Plettenberg Bay was targeted by burglars on Saturday 30 July with reports of three units having been broken into.
According to the Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association (PBCPA), it is believed that the suspects gained access to the complex by cutting two pieces of palisade fence.
At one of the units, authorities found the back door of the home as well as a steel gate had been broken open and the house ransacked.
At a second unit the back door, steel gate and inner door from the garage to the house had been broken open. All cupboards had been broken open. At the third unit a window behind a water tank had been broken and the burglar bars breached.
It also appeared that the home alarm wires had been cut.
Upon inspection authorities found that the three targeted units' electricity had been disconnected on the outside, resulting in alarm batteries being depleted.
