GARDEN ROUTE DISTRICT NEWS - The Garden Route Film Office (GRFO) has issued a call to the public to enter a video competition, as well as a photo challenge aimed at promoting the Garden Route.
The video competition comes in the form of a self-isolation theme, with the GRFO requesting that people create a video clip of their experience in self-isolation. There are three getaway prizes to accommodation on the Garden Route up for grabs.
The final clip length should not exceed 30 seconds (edited), and may contain video, audio, animation, photos or any other form of created content (royalty-free). Entries close at midnight on 30 April, and can be submitted at www.gardenroutefilmoffice.com.
The second call-to-action comes in the form of a photo challenge. The purpose behind this challenge is for people to submit pictures of their empty streets.
Residents of any town in the greater Garden Route can submit photos of roads, farms and landscapes, which must be royalty-free for use by the GRFO in their drive to increase filming in the area and promote the Greater Garden Route region.
You need to include the name of your town, street name and/or the description of the picture, and your name if you wish to be credited.
Photos submitted must be emailed to rene@gardenroutefilmoffice.com.
