KNYSNA NEWS - Last night, Wednesday 25 October, residents of Lower Pezula, a newly developed community in Hornlee, held a protest at the corner of Calendar and Fredricks streets.
The residents, along with supporters from other informal settlement areas, gathered to voice their concerns and demand better service delivery from Knysna Municipality.
To draw attention to their plight, some protesters resorted to burning tyres. No further damage was caused and no injuries have been reported.
The protesters claimed that the living conditions in the area have been dire for the past three years.
Despite their persistent appeals for assistance, the community has been left without basic amenities such as water, electricity, and proper toilet facilities.
