Ms Knysna Eden FM, Linda Mdatyulwa from Khayelethu took home the crown and competed against 11 Knysna girls that impressed with self-confidence, radiant personalities, great looks and a lot of style.
The popular competition is a yearly occasion. Morne Pietersen, station manager, thanked the Knysna audiene saying any event in Knysna is extra fun because of the community's enthusiasm and energy. Pietersen encouraged the audience saying: "Let that beautiful part in all of us shine through tonight. Look in the mirror every day and say: 'I'm perfectly made' and you will shine."
The competition was the first leg of nine that will be held throughout the region.
The gala event will be held in George later this year. Knysna's exeutive mayor, Georlene Wolmarans was there to give her support to the girls and she congratulated each of them on their professionalism and good taste.
Glitz and glamour was the main ingredients of the evening and the audience, presenters and contestants took to the dance floor after the crowing. Linda Mdatyulwa the queen of the night with first princess Zeta Olivier and Yolanda Booysen second received prizes to the value R2 500.
