KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Acting Municipal Manager (AMM) Dr Louis Scheepers asked residents to be patient as the municipality is resurfacing some of the main arterials as part of its season readiness programme.
"The roads being worked on are Union Street, Auction Mart Street, Main Road and Waterfront Drive. Work includes repair of the base layers and resurfacing of the roads," said Scheepers in a statement on Friday.
"These roads must be attended to and, when completed, they will be to the benefit of all who use them. Please follow the directions of flagmen and signboards along the affected routes."
The AMM said work began on 19 November and is scheduled to be completed within the first week of December, weather permitting, and that the result of this "short period of inconvenience" will be safer, smoother roads for all users to enjoy. "Please bear with our workers, have patience, and drive safely," he said.
Potholes are being removed in Knysna Main Road.
