KNYSNA | PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Famsa Knysna and Plettenberg Bay will be holding its annual street collection drive online this year, with two days, 5 and 12 December, earmarked for online collection.
Famsa (Families South Africa) works toward enhancing relationships and emotional well-being through counselling, training and community work for all people.
Famsa usually has two street collections per year, which typically contribute in a major way to the running costs of their services to the communit. The June collection was cancelled due to Covid-19.
"We have explored various options and will be doing a 'virtual tinless street collection' to reduce the risk of Covid-19," said Famsa Knysna director Karin du Plessis.
The campaign will be run in shops around Knysna and Plettenberg Bay as well as across Famsa Knysna's various platforms, with Knysna's collection on Saturday 5 December and Plettenberg Bay's on Saturday 12 December.
More details can be found on the Famsa - Knysna and Plettenberg Bay Facebook page.
