Update
KNYSNA NEWS - An ongoing case involving three local suspects in connection with dog fighting saw yet another postponement at the Knysna Magistrate Court earlier today, Tuesday 6 March.
Sidina Mbhinqo (41), Jason Smit (19) and Tolani Honono (20) were caught for fighting dogs in White Location on Wednesday, 10 January.
Police arrested the three men who are now out on R500 bail.
The three first appeared in court on 11 January and case has had three postponements since.
The suspects appeared briefly in court today and the case was deferred for 5 June for them to consult with their Legal Aid representative.
The trio from Flenter, White Location were charged on four counts of cruelty to animals, in terms of the Animal Protection Act.
All four dogs have since died following the incident.
The suspects who are out on bail are not allowed to instigate dog fights or go near animals.
