PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A collection drive has been organised as a wildfire is burning near Kwanokuthula, Plettenberg Bay.
The fire, which has created large plumes of smoke, is being fought by Garden Route District Municipality firefighters, Bitou firefighters and other role players.
Two bomber planes and a helicopter were activated through the Western Cape government. They are currently waterbombing the area.
The Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Associatiton (PBCPA) has launched a collection drive.
They are in need of water, electrolyte drinks, Vaseline, Bar One chocolates, fruit, wet wipes and eye drops. The drop-off venue is the Beacon Isle Kwikspar.
