KNYSNA NEWS - Matric students who need financial help should consider applying for the local mayoral bursary and social relief fund (Knysna and Bitou).
Knysna:
Applications are invited from students who are currently studying at tertiary or TVET institutions, as well as Grade 12 learners, for financial assistance towards further studies for the 2018 academic year.
The award is restricted to full-time study and attendance at SAQA-accredited tertiary or TVET institutions, and is eligible to South African citizens who are residents of the Greater Knysna municipal area.
Application forms are available at reception at the municipal offices in Clyde Street, Knysna, during normal office hours.
Only correct and fully completed applications forms will be considered. ONLY HARD COPIES will be accepted – not electronic or faxed applications.

Due to the large number of applications, only successful candidates will be notified.
Should candidates not be contacted within two months of the closing date, they may accept that their application was unsuccessful.

Bitou:
Learners who wish to further their studies during the 2018 calendar year are hereby invited to apply for assistance from the mayoral bursary fund.
Prospective students who qualify for financial assistance in terms of the criteria and prescriptions contained in the mayoral bursary fund application form, are hereby invited to submit their applications.
Only applications submitted on the prescribed application form and accompanied by all the required information and documentation, received by the office of the executive mayor before 13:30 on Friday 19 January 2018, will be considered.
The application forms are available at the various municipal offices and libraries during office hours as well as on the Bitou municipal website: www.bitou.gov.za.
