PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Two brothers from Plett recently passed their University of South Africa (Unisa) music exams with flying colours, with both earning distinctions.
Tristan (13) and Tyde Kannemeyer (11) were 12 and 10 years old respectively when they wrote the Unisa music exams earlier this year.
Unisa's musical examinations are carried out twice a year, once in the first quarter and once in the final quarter.
Both boys attend Greenwood Bay College and Tristan (Grade 7) passed the Grade 3 theory exam with 88% and the cello Grade 2 exam with 85%.
Tyde (Grade 5) passed the violin Grade 1 exam with 87%.
Tristan and Tyde have only been playing their instruments for a few years and are students of their mother, Christine Kannemeyer, who is extremely proud of them.
