KNYSNA NEWS - A 13-year-old boy drowned in the Akkerkloof Dam in Concordia on Monday afternoon this week, according to police.
Knysna police spokesperson Thulani Mondlana said the incident occurred between 15:00 and 16:00 after, it is alleged, six boys between the ages of 11 and 13 went to swim in the dam without the supervision of an adult.
He said the boys shouted for help and a passer-by responded.
"When he removed him out of the dam, the boy had lost his life. He was confirmed dead on the scene," Mondlana said.
