KNYSNA NEWS AND VIDEO - The Knysna Antique and Classic Boat Show this past Saturday 6 October had visitors glued to the area outside the Turbine Hotel on Thesen Island, in awe of the amazing old-school boats on show.
Among them was a hand-powered canoe built in the 1870s, a working steamboat and a Thames Skiff – a boat based on a more than 150-year-old design.
From its modest start at the Knysna Yacht Club about six years ago, the boat show has grown year on year, according to organiser Cameron Searle, and Stefan Goosen was there to see what it was all about.
