KNYSNA NEWS - On 19 August, Wings of Hope held a cancer awareness campaign at Khayalethu Rent Office, featuring guest speaker, Buyelwa Gumana, a breast cancer survivor.
The event attracted 40 attendees, who heard three ladies' message of hope for survivors.
Noxolo Nyawuza, Nandisa Sonqai and Ntombekhaya Mahafu, three brave women from Knysna, joined forces with their family friend Andiswa Tyingwa to enlighten and support others affected by cancer.
They partnered with Wings of Hope, an organisation providing support and counselling to cancer patients in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, and George.
Their message is simple yet powerful: "It's okay to be diagnosed with cancer."
Their primary goal is to introduce Wings of Hope to the community and dispel the misconception that a cancer diagnosis is a death sentence.
