KNYSNA NEWS & VIDEO - Two suspects were caught in the act by Allsound Security officers for trying to break into a business property earlier this month, after they were monitored on CCTV cameras casing the shop for about an hour.
The suspects, aged 19 and 20 respectively, were spotted on CCTV cameras in the Knysna CBD by Allsound control room personnel on the night of Wednesday 5 May.
"The suspects spent the better part of an hour, casing out their target. All the while, their movements were being monitored on the cameras and by Response Officers," Ashley Boetius of Allsound said.
Allsound officers were then dispatched to the scene and the suspects were arrested and later taken into custody by Knysna Police.

While this operation was under way, two other suspects, aged 20 and 30 years old respectively, were arrested by police for a robbery at a business in the same area two days prior.
"The two men were arrested in connection with a burglary that took place at a furniture shop situated in Main Street on 3 May at approximately 20:30," said Southern Cape Police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie. "
The duo was charged with burglary at a business premises and appeared in the Knysna Magistrates’ court on 7 May. The case was remanded to 13 July."
Pojie and the police were grateful for the role played by Allsound in the arrests.
"In both instances, we want to commend and acknowledge the role of the security personnel in assisting Saps in the apprehension of these suspects."
