Update
KNYSNA NEWS - In the wake of initial reports on the incident, Knysna-Plett Herald would like to clarify that it was a portion of the suspended ceiling at the Knysna Square shopping centre that collapsed yesterday, and not the roof.
Inspection of the area where the ceiling collapsed is currently underway to determine the cause and the extent of the damage, but as yet indications are that there is no damage to the parking structure above the centre.
The centre was also able to open for business this morning without issue, and continues as such.
