Residents are urged to look out for penguins and other oiled birds all along the Western and Eastern Cape coasts. Penguins have come ashore from Cape St Francis to Victoria Bay.
So far, 35 oiled penguins have been rescued, cleaned and sent to rehabilitation centres. Fortunately no bird or animal mortalities have so far been reported in the vicinity of the ship.
