KNYSNA NEWS - On Monday 3 July, the SANPs guided tour took place at the Western Heads rock pools, showcasing the picturesque beauty of the Knysna Heads.
SANParks organises this activity annually as part of the family-friendly Oyster Festival activities.
The interactive tour aimed to engage kids and parents in exploring the Knysna Heads rock pool habitat and its biodiversity.
The tour was led by experienced SANParks Honorary Rangers, who shared their knowledge about the delicate ecosystem within the rock pools and emphasised the importance of preserving the ecosystem and nature's resilience in the face of challenges.
Participants enjoyed the experience and there was positive feedback from parents, who said they visit the head frequently but never used to pay attention to the colourful and beautiful life found there.
The wonderous wildlife found at the Knysna Heads rockpools fascinated both rangers and the attendees alike.
