GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Members of the (SA Airforce Association SAAFA) Outeniqua branch had their monthly gathering at the Aeronautica Business Lounge in Mossel Bay on Friday, 21 June.
The branch includes members from Still Bay to Plettenberg Bay.
Chairman of the branch, Hartog Blok, says the monthly get togethers are for members to share experiences and enjoy camaraderie together. Many of them served together. "It is an opportunity to rekindle and perpetuate friendships of yesteryear. We have fundraising efforts every so often. If someone is experiencing hard times, we assist with moral support."

The members of the association enjoyed a lunch at the Aeronautica Business Lounge.

A British national, he retired to the Garden Route with his wife after his illustrious career in the United Kingdom. Capon lives in Sedgefield.
Blok notes: "SAAFA will commemorate its 75-year anniversary next year in 2020 and the SA Airforce will be 100 years old in 2020 - the second oldest airforce in the world."
The group who attended the SA Airforce Association get together on Friday, 21 June.
