KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Executive Mayor, Eleanore Bouw-Spies reshuffled her Mayoral Committee (MAYCO) during a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, 15 November.
She announced that Cllr Velile Waxa will be replacing Cllr Peter Myers on her Mayco.
Bouw-Spies said, “At times it is necessary to make changes as we operate in an ever-changing environment.
"We need to look back, reflect and make changes that will be of benefit to this Council and residents of Greater Knysna.”

During the Special Council Meeting it was resolved that Richard Meyer be appointed as the Acting Director: Community Services for a period not exceeding three months or until such a time as a Director: Community Services is appointed, whichever is the earliest.
Knysna Municipal Manager, Kam Chetty said, “The process of appointing Director Community Services and a Director Corporate Services is ongoing.
"I have confidence in the two current acting officials, Melony Paulsen (Corporate Services) and Richard Meyer (Community Services) and know that they will do a sterling job until the appointment processes have been completed.”
