PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Plettenberg Bay police have turned to the public once more for assistance in solving cases that have plagued them for many months.
Local police spokesperson Captain Marlene Pieterse said police are still trying to solve the murder of Jenerica Jene Roman (33).
The mother of three's body was discovered by passers-by in bushes behind the sawmill in the Crags on
1 October 2016. Her throat had been slit.
"We appeal to the community of the Crags who has information regarding this incident to contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Tommy James. All information will be dealt with in a confidential manner," Pieterse said. James can be contacted on 044 501 1955 or 061 446 5858.
Pieterse added that police are also still looking for suspects involved with a home invasion on 29 December last year. Five armed men gained access to a home on Ebenezer Estate on the outskirts of town, by breaking a window. During the incident the 55-year-old homeowner was shot in the leg. The men disappeared after the attack. A case of robbery was opened and has been under investigation since. No arrests have been made.
Pieterse urged the public to contact James should they have any information that could assist police in their investigation.
