KNYSNA NEWS - Through the goodwill and efforts of members of the Hornlee community, the soccer boys at Hornlee Primary School recently received a welcome and much-appreciated donation of soccer boots and socks.
The donation came courtesy of a drive initiated by Claude and Deidre Witbooi, who reached out to the wider Knysna community for help in raising funds to purchase or donate boots.
The community delivered on both fronts and on Friday 6 May, Claude and Deidre stopped by Hornlee Primary to drop off the donation of soccer boots and socks.
The school expressed their gratitude and the duo who drove the collection further thanked the community for their generous donations.
"We owe a massive thank you to Agiels Construction, Sharon Simons, Linda Diedericks, Stefanie Seydack, Mr Marais, Mr Freebury, Mr Thomas, and Moowit Enterprises for making this donation possible," Deidre said. "Without their generosity this wouldn't have been possible."
