GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Local cellist Throy Petersen will present a workshop to Garden Route cellists on Saturday 10 April between 11:00 and 13:00.
Petersen, who is doing post-graduate studies in vocal accompaniment at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, USA, is currently in South Africa.
Precise details of the venue will be made public at a later date, but the event will be held in George.
The format will be simple. Petersen will work with volunteer cellists on pieces of their choice for about 20 minutes per volunteer. There will be six spots available for one-on-one coaching.

Should you wish to take part in the event as one of the volunteers, please send a copy of the sheet music you wish to use to cmusicam@gmail.com before 25 March. There will be no entry fee, but donations towards Petersen's study fees / living expenses will be extremely gratefully accepted.
