KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna municipal council has elected its municipal whip in the last of the four major municipal council positions.
The DA's Hilton Stroebel was elected with 11-10 votes in his favour, beating out the PA's Beauty Charlie.
The vote came after the election of Julie Lopes as the new speaker, Mark Willemse as the deputy mayor, and Levael Davis as mayor.
The appointment of Stroebel as whip marks the first time that a whip has been elected to council in Knysna.
