GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The price of petrol and gas rose again last week, on 5 October, with the price of 93-octane petrol increasing by 44c/litre and 95 by 43c.
Diesel increased by 23c, while illuminating paraffin rose 22c.
What this extra cost means is significant to locals, as Nwabisa Pondoyi found out when she asked around on the day of the increase.

Margi Barnardt: "This is very disturbing. I understand there are so many factors involved in this – some beyond the country's control – but I don't think our government is trying hard enough to keep the prices in general down. I feel there's very little effort being made."
