KNYSNA NEWS - Charmaine Kruger, a board member of Epilepsy SK, was co-awarded the 2023 Flame of Courage award by the organisation.
The award was handed over during a board meeting, where Kruger's dedication and impact were acknowledged.
Kruger's journey with epilepsy began at the age of two, when she fell off a bed and hit her head on a concrete floor. She was in a coma for three days during which she had seizures that led to her diagnosis of epilepsy.
Kruger has also made significant contributions to the modelling and beauty pageant industry, running the Ace Modelling School and organising Miss Pearl Beauty pageants. She has also worked as an image consultant since 2012.
Kruger's dedication to empowering others and making a positive impact has made her a worthy co-recipient of the Flame of Courage award.
