TOWN AREA
THEFT OUT M.V. - QUEEN STR (Thurs 30 November @ 04h55) - Allsound officer noticed vehicle window broken at guesthouse. Owner was notified and would attend to in the morning. Losses unknown.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - LONG STR (Sun 3 December @ 11h30) - Client phoned to report an attempted break-in. Suspect/s tried to force open a container. No access was gained, nothing stolen. Case not opened.
BURGLARY - LONG STR (Sun 3 December @ 21h03) - Witness reported that 2 men had broken into school premises. Officers responded and apprehended 1 suspect in possession of stolen computer equipment and miscellaneous items. SAPS were notified and suspect was handed over.
ATTEMPTED MOTOR VEHICLE BREAK-IN - WATERFRONT DR (Mon 4 December @ 03h17) - Officer responded to a panic alarm. Night watchman reported that a suspect had tried to break-in at one the vehicles and ran towards the grave yard. Area was searched but no one was found.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - NELSON STR (Tues 5 December @ 08h17) - Client phoned to report that their garage padlock was broken off. Nothing visibly missing from the garage. No case was opened.
THEFT - MAIN STR (Wed 6 December @ 02h50) - Night watchman activated the alarm after someone entered the premises pretending to be a guest. 2 Cellphones, a wallet and pair of trainers was stolen. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
THEFT - GRAY STR (Wed 6 December @ 15h31) - Officer responded to alarm. Staff informed him that a suspect had stolen clothing from the property and fled. Allsound Officer gave chase, assisted by nearby guards. Suspect was apprehended and stolen goods recovered. A case was opened.
KNYSNA HEIGHTS / PARADISE / HEUWELKRUIN
THEFT OUT M.V. - AGNAR STR (Fri 1 December @ 03h06) - Client phoned to report that he disturbed a suspect in his vehicle. Nothing was missing from his car, but items belonging to someone else were found on his property. No case was opened.
BURGLARY - UPPER LLOYD (Fri 1 December @ 09h52) - Officer was dispatched to alarm signal. Suspect was disturbed by owner and fled with a bottle of alcohol. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
BURGLARY - FAURE STR (Fri 1 December @ 12h44) - Client telephoned to report that her guest cottage was broken into during the night. Bedding, kettle, and electric frying pan were reported missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN GOODS - MAIN RD (Fri 1 December @ 23h51) - Allsound controller spotted 2 men running from Lloyd street carrying backpacks. Allsound Officers gave chase and apprehended both suspect who were found in possession of stolen angle grinders. Suspects were handed over to SAPS and owner later identified.
THEFT - CIRCULAR DR (Wed 6 December @ 12h48) - Member of the public reported seeing 2 men pushing a trolley containing 2 geysers. Officers responded and followed up. Geysers were taken from a property in Circular Drive. Owner confirmed that they were old. No case was opened.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
BURGLARY - PLOVER STR (Fri 1 December @ 03h29) - Officer responded to panic alarm. Suspect entered unlocked garage and stole food from freezer. Owner declined to open a case. No suspect/s found.
THEFT - WITELS STR (Fri 1 December @ 08h52) - Client reported that a gas bottle and potjie pot were stolen from his property during the night. No case opened.
BURGLARY - BOKMAKIERIE STR (Sat 2 December @ 00h47) - Officer responded to alarm and reported door standing open. Owner was notified. Footage showed suspect entered using a key to the door, ran in and grabbed the cash box and fled. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
ATTEMPTED THEFT - KNOETZIE RD (Fri 1 December @ 02h20) - Allsound guards requested back up after 2 suspects were found trying to steal diesel. Canisters were recovered on the property. Unknown if anything was stolen.
FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD
BURGLARY - HOPE STR (Thurs 30 November @ 03h41) - Officer responded to panic alarm and owner reporting a noise on the property. Suspect entered via unlocked door. A laptop, watch, wallet and cellphone were reported missing by tenant of the flat. SAPS were notified and a case was opened. Area was searched, no suspect found.
BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - YELLOWWOOD CRESC (Fri 1 December @ 02h36) - Client phoned in to report an attempted break-in. Suspect used a ladder to climb to 2nd floor but fled when the owner disturbed him. No access was gained and nothing stolen.
THEFT OUT M.V. - BRENTON HILL (Sat 2 December @ 08h58) - Resident phoned to report that car was broken into during the night. Medals were reportedly missing. No case was opened.
RHEENENDAL / PHANTOM RIVER
BURGLARY - PHANTOM RIVER RD (Sun 3 December @ 10h06) - Client phoned to report that they had a break-in during the night. 2 x Panasonic cameras were reported missing. Case was opened with SAPS.
BURGLARY - PHANTOM RIVER RD (Sun 3 December @ 17h21) - Resident telephoned to report a break-in at the property. A window was forced open, flat screen TV and alcohol was stolen. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
