PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Join the African Hoofprint Foundation during their Celebrating Beauty through Ashes fundraiser on 30 June at Cairnbrogie Farm in Plettenberg Bay to commemorate the fires of 2017 and to celebrate the community of Plett.
The foundation hopes to heal Africa one town at a time, starting with their first event in Plett.
The main event of the day is the Plett Eco Fun Hike and Ride, with different distances for different participants. Individuals participating on horseback will ride an 11km trail at 09:00 or a 5km trail at 10:00; individuals walking dogs will start a 2.5km trail walk at 09:30 or a 5km trail walk at 10:00 (horses will go first). And if you don’t have your pet with you, feel free to walk the distance and trail of your choice with one of the special invited guests – sweet and spunky pooches from both the Sunshine Sanctuary and Plett Animal Welfare Service (PAWS).
Support the Sunshine Sanctuary and PAWS with a financial donation and take one for a walk – you may even want to adopt one!
Kids of all ages will love the fancy dress competition – come dressed as your favourite superhero and participate in the parade. Browse the many food stalls and children’s activities for a day of fun and adventure.
The fundraiser is an event for the entire family – nature lovers, horse lovers, dog owners, hikers and bird watchers. Bring your grannies, nannies, neighbours, your pooches and even your horse!
