KNYSNA NEWS - 10 tourists from Germany were on a boat that capsized near the Knysna Heads this morning, as they were headed out to sea.
All the tourists, as well as the skipper of the vessel, have been accounted for and no serious injuries were sustained.
Two of the tourists have been taken to hospital as a ‘precautionary measure’.
According to initial reports, the boat attempted twice to cross into the ocean this morning but returned following unsafe conditions.
The incident occurred at the third attempt and was ‘the result of a freak wave’.
