PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Despite Bitou skipping loadshedding on Monday, some areas in the coastal holiday town have no electricity after strong winds during Sunday night wreacked havoc on power lines.
The Bitou Municipality confirmed the outages are not loadshedding related.
“Some areas of Bitou are currently experiencing power outages. This is due to the strong gale force winds,” the municipal communications team said.
They added that electricians were working to have the power restored as soon as possible.
