KNYSNA NEWS - For many high school learners, their matric year is meant to be a year of conclusions, a year of 'lasts'. Your last school dance, your last athletics meet, your last match for the first team, the list goes on. However, for the Class of 2020, it was instead a year of firsts.
Be it the challenge of transitioning from physical face-to-face learning to online education, the constant postponement of the resumption of their school year, or the need to cram their curriculum into a much shorter time frame, the Class of 2020 faced countless unprecedented challenges throughout their academic year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
But, regardless of whatever new challenge presented itself, blocked their progress and threatened to prevent them from finishing their final year of school, they persevered and broke new ground every step of the way.
It was undoubtedly a tough year for this year's matrics, but no matter what changed in 2020, one thing was always certain - the day their results came would be sweeter for most than any other year.

From shrieks and screams of joy to tears of pride and shouts of excitement, the Class of 2020 received their results to joyous applause.
While 2021 will present its own challenges for matrics, this year's contingent will no doubt look back at their 2020 counterparts and draw immense inspiration.
On behalf of all at KPH, good luck for what lies ahead in life, Class of 2020!
