KNYSNA NEWS - A most welcome Weylandts delivery truck arrived on Thesen Island in Knysna, but it wasn’t filled with stock for their store, instead it was filled with 100 beds and mattresses and all manner of home items for the victims of the Knysna fires.
Delivery from the trucking company who transports all Weylandts stock between locations, H&M movers, also got involved in this project and graciously transported everything to Knysna for free.
Friday, August 11, was a day of relief for many fire victims who lost their beds and other household equipment.
The handover was made to Rotary Knysna representative Mick Furman. Knysna Rotary will manage the goods that have been donated and ensure that the items find their new homes.
Weylandts would like to thank their customers for their generosity in donating additional furniture and household items that have accompanied the 100 beds and mattresses. From kettles to coffee tables and every home item in-between, their customers’ support has been overwhelming.

The home outfitters have had the store on Thesen Island since 2005 and felt especially close to the tragedy of the devastating fires that ravaged the region in June this year.
