PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - There has been an attempt to poison dogs on a property in one of the town's neighbourhoods.
Lisa Nagel of Plett.Watch, the local neighbourhood watch group, said she received a report on Saturday 7 August about a box of rat poison that had been tossed over a fence into a property with dogs in Maplin Drive.
"Fortunately the dogs did not chew through the packet and the owner disposed of it safely," Nagel said. The incident happened between 10:00 and 14:00 while the owner was not at home.
"Please be extra vigilant and if you notice any suspicious behaviour, report it. Also inform any residents whose animals may be in danger."
