PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREABURGLARY - QUEEN STR (Thurs 18 May @ 07h29) - Business owner (non-monitored) phoned to notify our Control Room of an attempted break-in. Glass on the front door was removed but nothing taken from the premises. No case opened.
THEFT FROM M.V. - WATERFRONT DR (Fri 19 May @ 07h05) - Client reported that cargo strips were stolen from the back of their bakkie. Officers searched surrounding area, suspect not found.
THEFT - LONG STR (Fri 19 May @ 14h00) - Client reported that a cellphone was stolen from their counter. A clothing description of 3 suspicious men was provided. Area was searched but no one matching the description was found. SAPS were notified.
THEFT - NELSON STR (Fri 19 May @ 16h18) - Client phoned to report that a suspect had grabbed a drill and fled through the Knysna Mall. CCTV was reviewed and the suspect was apprehended the following day after Allsound Guards recognised him. Suspect was handed over to SAPS and the drill recovered.
THEFT - MAIN STR (Sat 20 May @ 12h20) - Allsound Guards reported that a cellphone was stolen from a shopper. At approximately 16h30 Mall Guards apprehended the suspect identified by CCTV footage. Case was opened and the suspect was charged.
BURGLARY - TROTTER STR (Sun 21 May @ 07h42) - Client phoned in to report suspicious activity at neighbouring business premises. Officer responded and found sliding door standing open. Keyholder reported that a laptop was missing from the premises. SAPS were informed and a case opened.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - REMEMBRANCE DR (Sun 21 May @ 08h00) - Client reported an attempted break-in. Window was broken but no access was gained. No case opened.
THEFT - MAIN STR (Sun 21 May @ 11h11) - Allsound guards apprehended a juvenile after he grabbed condiments from a table and fled. No case was opened and the boy was released.
SHOPLIFTING - WATERFRONT DR (Sun 21 May @ 15h05) - Officers responded to a panic signal. Suspect grabbed 2 packs of meat and ran out the shop. The suspect was apprehended and found in possession of items stolen from another shop as well. Suspect was handed over to SAPS and a case opened.
BURGLARY - UNION STR (Mon 22 May @ 07h52) - Client telephoned to report a break-in. Suspect forced open a window, used a long pipe to reach through and pull items to the window. R200 cash and keys were missing. SAPS were on site to open a case.
BURGLARY - NEWTON STR (Mon 22 May @ 21h52) - Officers responded to a panic alarm after owner heard a noise at the garage. Response Officer confirmed that a garage door was forced open and the vehicle parked in the garage was also broken into. Nothing missing from the vehicle. SAPS were notified. No suspect found.
BURGLARY - HILL STR (Tues 23 May @ 02h26) - Officers responded to a panic signal. Entry was gained via kitchen window where suspect/s removed burglar bars. Owner confirmed that a TV and DVD player were missing. SAPS were notified and a case opened.
BURGLARY - LEAGUE STR (Wed 24 May @ 02h30) - Officers responded to panic signal. Door was forced open and tools missing from the property. Owner was unable to confirm exactly what items were taken. Area was searched for suspect, no one found. Case was opened.
PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / HEUWELKRUIN
THEFT - MAIN RD (Tues 23 May @ 20h25) - Client reported that a bicycle was stolen from the property some time in the preceeding 3 hours. No description available of suspect. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
WELBEDACHT / EASTFORD DOWNS / RIDGE
BURGLARY - WELBEDACHT RD (Sun 21 May @ 08h26) - Client reported that their home was broken into some time during the night. Entry was gained by reaching through dog flap and unlocking the door. Owner confirmed that a laptop, cellphone and cash was reported missing. SAPS were notified.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
THEFT - CANDLEWOOD CRES (Sun 21 May @ 06h00) - Client phoned in to report that a suspect stole an outside speaker from the property. Clothing description was provided and area was searched. No arrests made.
BURGLARY - BOKMAKIERIE STR (Mon 22 May @ 04h50) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found a window broken. Keyholder was notified. No entry was gained to premises and nothing reported missing.
BURGLARY - BOEKENHOUT STR (Wed 24 May @ 07h54) - Client telephoned to report that their garage was broken into during the night and 2 Bicycles were stolen. Case was opened.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
THEFT - BOSWERKER STR (Mon 22 May @ 23h32) - SAPS members telephoned for assistance after apprehending a suspect in possession of suspected stolen timber. The timber was identified as belonging to client in Boswerker St. Client was notified, case was opened and suspect was charged.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - CASINO STR (Tues 23 May @ 20h24) - Client reported that someone kicked their back door in some time during the day. Nothing missing from premises.
FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD
BURGLARY - MARLIN DR(Thurs 18 May @ 03h56) - Officers responded to a panic signal. Staff on duty reported that suspects were inside the building. Allsound Officers confirmed that entry was gained via a skylight window from the roof. A flat screen TV was missing and several items found outside and on the roof. SAPS were on scene and a case opened.
BURGLARY - SPRINGER STR (Tues 23 May @ 00h46) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found window broken, door open and a TV aerial lying outside the house. Keyholder confirmed that a flat screen TV was missing. Surrounding area was searched, no arrests made.

BURGLARY - GEORGE REX DR (Fri 19 May @ 12h35) - Following report of suspicious activity, Officer confirmed premises had been broken into and vandalised. Nothing of value missing as property is vacant. No case opened.
BELVIDERE / PHANTOM RIVER
BURGLARY - FISH EAGLE DR (Thurs 18 May @ 00h17) - Client phoned our Control Room to report a break-in at neighbouring property. Suspect/s broke a window. Owners confirmed that a bicycle was taken. Case was opened.
