KNYSNA | BITOU NEWS - The Knysna and Bitou sub-districts will have seven vaccination sites open to the public this week as vaccination roll-out enters its second week for people between 50 and 59 years of age.
Amidst the riots and looting in other parts of the country last week, the Western Cape continued to chug along with its vaccination roll-out, and the province saw just under 150 000 vaccines administered to the public last week alone.
While the local numbers are not known, exactly 147 075 people received vaccines between Monday 12 and Friday 16 July, seeing the total vaccines administered in the Western Cape climb to 779 698.
Registration for people between the ages of 35 and 49 started last week, with this group expected to start receiving vaccines from 1 August.
