Sharks vs Eagles
Dotsure SWD Eagles suffered a 0-66 defeat against the Cell C Sharks at Outeniquapark on Friday evening, 4 September. The Sharks led 19-0 at halftime before extending their dominance in the second half.Professor Manie Spamer, who attended the match, described the Eagles’ performance as promising. He said the team showed good resistance in the first half and created scoring opportunities, although they could not convert them.Spamer noted that the result should be viewed in context, as the Sharks were match-fit after recently playing the All Blacks, while the Eagles had been out of action following the end of their season. Despite the heavy defeat, he believes the Eagles have considerable potential and are being well coached.Photos: Owen Sports Photography
