KNYSNA NEWS - Oakhill School is delighted to be hosting its first public Prep Art Exhibition for several years. They are thrilled to be exhibiting at the prestigious Knysna Fine Art Gallery, Thesen House.
The exhibition will be a display of artwork by the school's Grade 4 - 7 children, with exciting themes such as "What's Inside My Head" by the Grade 7 pupils.
The youngest exhibitors, in Grade 4, contributed with a line drawing of "My Shoes". There are also some interesting themes around "Knysna" and "My surroundings".
The emphasis of their artwork has been on self-discovery, reflection and experimentation with different mediums. There are drawings, paintings as well as the exciting medium of sculpture.
The celebration of the joy of creativity is evident in the images that have been produced by these talented young pupils.
The exhibition is open to the public for viewing from 09:00 to 16:00 on Friday 26 May, and from 09:00 to 12:00 on Saturday 27 May.
