KNYSNA NEWS - The Pink Loerie Mardi Gras & Arts Festival starts this Wednesday April 26.
It is set to turn Knysna into all the colours of the rainbow, but especially pink as the town's LGBTQ+ community come out to play, attracting festivalgoers from all over the country for five days of outrageous fun.

• GaySA Radio & Visibility Project workshop & concert at Villa Castollini, 14:00 to 20:00
• Meet and Greet at Zanzibar, 20:00
• Bondesio Couture Fashion Show and Afternoon Tea at Villa Castollini with Tobie Jooste, 14:00 to 16:00
• The Queens of Wigstock Show at Zanzibar, 12:00 to 14:00
• Knysna Fine Arts exhibition and cocktail function with special book signing of Little Poof! By Bruce J Little, 18:00
• Evening theme party at Zanzibar, 20:00
Day 1 of the outreach programme at various venues including:
• Loeriehof retirement home, 09:30 to 11:00
• Knysna Animal Welfare Society, 11:30 to 13:00
• Paula Whitney Crèche, 14:00 to 15:00
• Queens of Wigstock show at Zanzibar, 12:00 to 14:00

• Theme party at Zanzibar, 20:00

• Vermont retirement home bazaar, 09:00 to 12:00
• Mr & Miss Mardi Gras Southern Africa at Zanzibar, 10:00 to 14:00
• Annual Pink Loerie Mardi Gras & Arts Festival Street Parade, 15:00 to 16:00
• Piazza Party
• The Queens of Wigstock show
• Best Dressed / Best Float and Best Window Awards
• Official Bon Voyage afterparty at Zanzibar, 16:00 to 02:00
• Blackwaters River Lodge – official Bear Colony Festival Southern Africa in association with Bearfest SA “hibernation destination” (April 26 to May 1).
• Nautical South with daily promotions and evening events: “Come dine with me”, “Eat and meet party” and a special “Come down” picnic on Sunday, April 30 (April 26 to May 1)
• Lakeside Lodge & Spa will be featuring a Sunday line-up including a Queens of Wigstock party and afternoon picnic. (April 30).
• Recovery party at Zanzibar (April 30, 12:00 to 16:00).
