KNYSNA NEWS FLASH - For art enthusiasts and supporters of Oakhill alike, this weekend’s Miniature Art Exhibition is an event not to be missed.
Art lovers seeking special and affordable art pieces are invited to attend the cheese-and-wine event to be held at Knysna Fine Art Gallery at 17:00 on Saturday, May 20. Hosted by Oakhill School, this initiative is a showcase of hundreds of miniature artworks.
All artworks are for sale, starting at R100 each. The exciting aspect of the exhibition is that all pieces are anonymous.
The local art fraternity, with several well-known artists, has once again been exceptionally supportive in donating their original miniatures for this exhibition. Artworks for sale include those of professional artists, as well as aspiring amateurs and many young students artists.
• Entry of R50 includes a cheese-and-wine function.
• The event is suitable for adults and older children.
• Tickets can be purchased at the door or prior to that, from Oakhill School.
• No viewing of art pieces will be permitted before the event.
• All art pieces start at R100 and are sold on silent auction.
• Guests will be allocated specific numbers for bidding on the art.
• Bidding slips are alongside each art piece – the proposed bid and the guest’s number are to be written and will be considered a commitment to purchase.
• Art pieces acquired will be distributed at the end of the evening.
• Cash is preferred but card facilities will be available.
