KNYSNA NEWS & VIDEOS - The Knysna Film Festival kicks off in a week's time.
And with the historic event on the horizon, it's time to look past the international film mirage and focus on our locally filmed films to be screened.
The inaugural Knysna Film Festival (KFF) will bring a total of 47 films to Knysna; 5 of which were filmed either on the Garden Route or in the Karoo.
Three films will be taking part in the KFF competition: Fracked was filmed in both Prince Albert and Cape Town while Homebound was filmed in Prince Albert. Ons Albertinia was filmed in Albertinia.
There are also two movies that will be screened at the KFF which were also locally filmed, but will not be competing in the festival's competition: Fiela se Kind will be the festival's premiere opening night movie and was filmed in the iconic Knysna and Plettenberg Bay forests, as well just outside Uniondale, while Knysna will be one of the films to be screened at the open air water theatre.
