KNYSNA NEWS - Musician Alan Garrity has briefly returned to Knysna to record his upcoming selection of songs.
Garrity, who has a longstanding, loving relationship with Knysna, will be staying for 10 days to record geographical tracks for a film musical that he is working on, with the help of his longtime friend, Baden Hall.
Garrity is responsible for a number of hits such as Put Your Hand in the Hand and Home Isn't Home Anymore, that landed him at the top of the Springbok charts in the 1970s.
Over the span of his illustrious career, Garrity has accrued 14 gold records, received eight Sama awards, and has been the recipient of the Golden Microphone Award.
Garrity will be making his way back to our shores in October to receive the lifetime achievement and legend award from the South African Country Music Association.
