KNYSNA NEWS - With a career spanning over 20 years, Chris Forrest is often called a legend of South African comedy.
He is known for his sharp wit, hilarious take on life in SA and side-splitting observations.
He's developed a reputation as a professional and versatile performer, able to adapt to almost any crowd and leave them in fits of laughter every time.
Forrest has performed successfully at multiple festivals, both locally and internationally, and graced both the big and small screen, most notably on the Pure Monate Show, winning Celebrity Masterchef, and hosting his own comedy game show Is That A Fact? on SABC.
Since Covid, Forrest has been hiding out in his house in Joburg and braaiing, but he's on the move now, he says.
Forrest, now middle-aged and overweight (in his own words), will be travelling through the Western Cape (via Gqeberha), stopping briefly to make people laugh in various towns as he goes.
Garden Route much better than his own garden
"The Garden Route is an amazing part of the world, much better than the route through my garden, which is quite short and the only audiences are my pets, whose humour is quite niche," says Forrest. "I’ve always found that the people in the towns along the route are amazing and I can’t wait.”
Catch him on 23 March at Blend in Knysna or on 24 March at Studio 42, Sedgefield. Book through quicket.com
