PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Mountain biking enthusiasts will have the opportunity to take on unique routes that only open once a year during the Seeff Tour de Plett.
The popular event will take place this weekend from the Keurbooms Lagoon Caravan Park.
The event, set for 23 October, is open for all riders at different skill levels with three distances on offer - 15km, 35km and 60km. "Even those with e-bikes will be allowed to compete in their own race starting before the rest of the field," said James Stewart of Muddyfoot Adventures.
He added that the riders will get to enjoy the race's unique once-a-year routes linking many different landowners and some authentic mountain bike riding and exploring.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, mitigation protocols as recommended by government will be followed.
All registration will be done online, all athletes will be screened and there will be no mass start times, but rather rolling starts for each race.
