KNYSNA NEWS - In the world of racing, Landi Sinden's drive goes beyond mere victory.
For her it's an opportunity to transform the lives of children in Knysna.
As she fearlessly manoeuvered her Yamaha R6 through the challenging terrain of the Simola Hillclimb, Landi not only raced against time but also for a brighter future in her community.
With an impressive unofficial time, Landi showcased her extraordinary skill and unwavering determination on the demanding Hillclimb course - all on a mission to empower education in Knysna.
As a member of the Hillclimb Ladies Team, Landi has forged a meaningful partnership with the Knysna Education Trust (Ket), a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting early childhood development (ECD) in the region.
The inspiration behind Landi's campaign stems from her deep-rooted commitment to making a positive impact in the Knysna community. Alongside the Hillclimb Ladies Team, she recognises the invaluable work of Ket in empowering local youth through education.
Through strategic partnerships and fundraising initiatives, Landi and the Hillclimb Ladies Team actively engage their networks to contribute to Ket's mission, be it in the form of donations or sponsorships.
Landi's involvement in the campaign is crucial for raising awareness and garnering support.
The Hillclimb Ladies Team, established in 2014, has a long-standing history of involvement in campaigns like this, showcasing their ongoing dedication to giving back to the community. Over the years, they have championed various initiatives aimed at supporting local causes and organisations, with a strong focus on education, empowerment, and community development.
This campaign has three primary goals: first, to raise critical funds in support of Ket's programmes and initiatives; second, to raise awareness about the significance of education and empowerment in the community; and third, to highlight the presence of women in motorsports, challenging the perception of it being a predominantly male sport.
Together, Landi Sinden and the Hillclimb Ladies Team are accelerating change, not only on the racetrack but also in education and community development.
Money they raise from participating in the Simola Hillclimb goes towards Ket.
