MOTOR RACING NEWS - George resident Tom Barrett took part in the 13th annual Simola Hillclimb last weekend, running his Toyota-powered 2006 Lotus 7 Replica in the C4 class of the Hillclimb's King of the Hill section. 

He is a Simola Hillclimb regular, having taken part in more than 10 editions to date. 

Barrett showed his expertise throughout the weekend, consistently clocking good times and negating some testy conditions out on track on the 1,9km Simola Hill. 

On Sunday 7 May, the final day, he emerged victorious in the C4 class with a time of 58,370 seconds in the class finals.
